Adopt a cat

Welcoming a new cat into your home should not be taken too lightly.

But the support is there to help you make the right choice for you and the cat.

That support also includes insurance plans tailored for all cats, from the cuddly kittens and those in their twilight years.

For example, NCAC insurance partner PetPlan is one provider that warmly welcomes new owners of cats in their later years.

Once you have thought carefully about getting a cat and feel ready for the responsibility, it's time to take the next step!

Simply visit the National Cat Adoption Centre and meet the cats looking for new homes.

Our staff are happy to discuss the personalities of the cats and which ones would suit you.

We are open 10am-4pm, seven days a week (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day).

Before you can take a cat home, we will do an owner interview to ensure that the cat or cats you have reserved fit your circumstances.

An interview is a great chance for you to ask any questions that you may have. In some circumstances we will feel it necessary
to do a home visit for cats with particular needs or personalities.

All of our cats are:
  • Vet health-checked
  • Vaccinated
  • Microchipped
  • Neutered (if old enough)
  • De-flead and wormed

Given that our cat care costs can be in excess of £150 per cat, we ask for an adoption fee of £75 per cat towards our costs.
